I am in the process of learning more about freezing raw vegan foods. Fruits, nuts and seeds I have been freezing and would like to expand on it.

If you are freezing raw vegan foods... do you do that to extend its shelf-life or because you want to eat some of the ingredients off-season?
I would like to eat some off season. I want to be able to freeze the abundance that cannot be eaten in season.
