Himalayan Crystal Salt Slab/Block/Brick

I received a gift of a beautiful Himalayan crystal salt slab/block/brick. I cut up a jicama and placed it on the slab. It looked so pretty and tasted very nice of the salt. The longer you leave it the saltier it gets. I will play with this some more. It will last a long time. Anyone have any suggestions, please let me know.

I'm really glad to have run across this post, as I have been concerned about "Himalayan" Salt for some time. There are several reputable sites that claim it is actually mined in Pakistan, and has a high concentration of fluoride, as well as heavy metal contamination. My health food store readily states their wholesaler sources this from Pakistan, so just to be on the safe side I have been sticking with Celtic sea salt. I love the look of the pink crystal salt, and would love to hear the thoughts of a trusted source...
This is but one of the naysayers, and he seems to have done his homework with analysis
